Miami Selects Taylor

Well, this should motivate JT, with so many cornerbacks taken ahead of him.  Miami got a steal with their pick of Jamar in the second round.

Second Round of NFL Draft Half Over and no Taylor

Jamar Taylor still hasn't heard his name called in the 2013 NFL Draft.  Unbelievable.

Boise State and Oklahoma State Ink Two-Game Deal

In a major coup for Boise State Athletic Director Mark Coyle, the Broncos and Oklahoma State have agreed to a home-and-home series in football beginning in 2018.

Boise State will travel to Stillwater on September 15, 2018 while the Cowboys will visit Boise in 2021.

"We're excited about the opportunity to bring Oklahoma State to Bronco Stadium," Boise State Director of Athletics Mark Coyle said. "Boise State has proven it will play high-level competition, but our goal is to continue to schedule home-and-home series, so Bronco Nation has the opportunity to see these games in Boise."

The Broncos have also recently announced home-and-home series with Virginia (2015 and 2017) and Florida State (2019 and 2020) of the Atlantic Coast Conference, and Connecticut (2014 and 2018) of the American Athletic Conference.

Boise State has a 2-0 record against Big 12 Conference teams with both wins coming in the postseason.  The Broncos  defeated Iowa State 34-16 in the 2002 Humanitarian Bowl, and knocked off Oklahoma 43-42 in overtime at the 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

No Jamar Taylor Yet

Despite nearly every "Mock Draft" indicating Boise State cornerback Jamar Taylor would be chosen in the first round of the Nimwhit Football League, the round came and went yesterday without anyone choosing the talented Taylor.

Ajayi Powers Offense To 28-19 Win in Spring Game

Behind the running of Jay Ajayi and a later scamper for a score by quarterback Joe Southwick, the Boise State offense downed the defense 28-19 last night in Bronco Stadium before 9,146 fans who braved a cold swirling wind.

With 3:50 remaining, the Bronco offense had a fourth-and-goal.  A stop would have given the defense a 22-19 lead, but Southwick ran it in to seal the victory.

Ajayi gained 69 yards on 11 carries and scored a touchdown, while Southwick was 12-20 for 82 yards with a 22-yard scoring toss to tight end Jake Hardee.  Aaron Burks had a breakout game with seven receptions for 50 yards.

Cornerback Donte Deayon was the star of the defense with a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown.  Tyler Horn also scored three points for the defense with an interception, while ends Demarcus Lawrence and Beau Martin each had a sack and tackle Deuce Mataele forced a fumble.

Boise State is coming off an 11-2 season which culminated in a struggle to beat unranked Washington in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Jalen Green Says He's A Bronco

Jalen Green, Boise State's top priority at quarterback in this year's recruiting race. has given a verbal commitment to the school, Blue Football Through and Through has learned.

Green, a 6-3, 194-pound prospect from Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California is rated by Scout as the #34 quarterback in the nation, which means to Boise State fans that he is probably the best quarterback in the country, as Scout time and time again has underrated Boise State players.

Green was named Mission League MVP following his sophomore year, when he passed for 1,368 yards and 10 touchdowns and ran for 698 more with seven scores.  Green led his team to the California Division II state championship last fall, compiling 3600 yards of total offense.  Green threw for 2,500 yards and 26 TD's and ran for 1,100 with nine touchdowns.

Green had interest from Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Nebraska, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oregon and UCLA before signing with Chris Petersen's Broncos.

Welcome to Boise, Jalen!
