SWR Adds Another Preseason Watch List Honor
BOISE, Idaho--Senior wide receiver Shane Williams-Rhodes was named today to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Watch List, the Tyler Convention and Visitors Bureau announced.
This is the fourth preseason watch list for SWR, who was also named as a candidate for the Paul Hornung Award, the Wuerffel Trophy and the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is given annually to the top offensive player in the Football Bowl Subdivision who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. Nominees also must have been born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college. Williams-Rhodes played at Klein College High School in Spring, Texas.

Last year, Boise State running back Jay Ajayi was one of five finalists for the award.
Williams-Rhodes led Boise State in receptions (68) and touchdown catches (seven) last season, and also averaged 8.5 yards in punt returns. SWR is ranked fifth all-time in career receptions with 170, needing 74 catches to tie Matt Miller's school record of 244.

Boise State Fall Scrimmage Set for Friday Night at 6:30
Boise State football fans will get their first and last chance to see the team before the season starts at the annual fall scrimmage Friday night in Albertsons Stadium.
Lithia Ford is sponsoring the scrimmage, which is expected to last approximately 90 minutes. Parking and admission are free. Second-year head coach Bryan Harsin will lead his team on the Bronco Walk at 4 p.m., and gates to the stadium will open at 5:30. (Note: only gates A, D and N will be open for the scrimmage. Concessions will be available at select locations in the stadium.
The first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a 2015 schedule poster, and handy schedule cards can also be picked up.
The scrimmage is set for this Friday at 6:30 p.m. After the scrimmage, the next time the public will be able to see the Broncos will be Friday, September 4 when they take the field for the season opener against the University of Washington.

Boise State Introduces "The Huddle"
Boise State is introducing a new element to pregame festivities this fall--"The Huddle" will take place inside the Caven Williams Sports Complex before each home football game this season.
The school will open the doors of Caven Williams exclusively to football ticket holders three hours prior to kickoff of each home game. The Huddle will close 30 minutes before kickoff.
The Huddle will feature college football action from around the country on HDTV's throughout the venue, and activities for fans of all ages will be available.
Local companies will set up booths and food trucks will be there with soft drinks, beer and wine available for purchase.
For weekend games, the parking lots will open eight hours before kickoff while on Friday's, the lots will open four hours before kickoff for Bronco fans.
