Boise State President Kustra Expects Resolution Next Week

In a meeting of the State Board of Education, President Bob Kustra of Boise State said that Boise State would be able to reach a decision by next week regarding conference affiliation.

The State Board overwhelmingly approved (with only Goessling of Moscow dissenting) giving President Kustra authority to negotiate for Boise State to be a football-only member of the Big East Conference and to find a home for the other sports.

Blue Through and Through reported over two weeks ago that Boise State was officially a new member of the Big East.

Eagle High School senior D.J. Dean has committed to Boise State, our sources have learned.  Dean plays both wide receiver and safety for the talented Eagle squad and is probably good enough to play either position at the college level.

Dean (6-1, 190) gave his commitment to Boise State Sunday night.  Dean has 42 catches for 667 yards and three touchdowns and six interceptions on defense.
