According to numerous sources, Alec Dhaenens (6-4, 230) from Fruitland has committed to Boise State. He grew up watching the Broncos and even though he had offers from Washington State and Nevada, he committed on the spot upon being offered by Boise State.

Yriarte Gets Sixth Year
Cory Yriarte has heard from the NCAA and the news was good--he'll be back at Boise State for a sixth season. He joins running back D.J. Harper, who earlier in the year confirmed that he'll be back for a sixth year.

Andy Avalos Returns to Boise State
Andy Avalos, one of the greatest linebackers to ever play at Boise State, has been hired to come coach the Broncos. Coach Chris Petersen made the announcement today at the Stueckle Sky Center.
Avalos will coach the defensive line with the help of and under the tutelage of defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski. Avalos has coached at Colorado, Nebraska-Kearney and Sacramento State prior to coming to Boise State.
