This Week in the Blue Through and Through Top 25*

So far, it seems that Florida is the only team ranked that is higher than they should be.  Or, Miami could be much better than thought.  That's what makes it fun early in the year!

We'll be looking closely at Vandy, Utah, Ball State, Illinois, Arizona State, Penn State and Baylor from their performances today, although we only usually list 3-4 teams in the "Also Considering" category.  Miami of course will get in.

2.    Clemson (1-0) showed no mercy in beating South Carolina State 52-13
3.    Alabama (1-0) does not play
4.    Oregon (1-0) throttled Virginia 59-10 
5.    Washington (1-0) does not play
6.    South Carolina (1-0) fell to #7 Georgia 41-30 
7.    Georgia (0-1) upended #6 South Carolina at home 41-30 
8.    TCU (0-1) stopped Southeastern Louisiana 38-17 
9.    Florida State (1-0) is idle this week
10.  Ohio State (1-0) outmuscled San Diego State 42-7 
11.  Texas A&M (1-0) broke open a close game to beat Sam Houston State 65-28
12.  Oklahoma State (1-0) outran Texas-San Antonio 56-35
13.  Florida (1-0) fell on the road to Miami of Florida 21-16 
14.  Michigan (1-0) topped #24 Notre Dame 41-30
15.  Oklahoma (1-0) got by West Virginia at home 16-7
16.  UCLA (1-0) does not play
17.  Texas Tech (1-0) tore up Stephen F. Austin 61-13
18.  Louisville (1-0) blasted Eastern Kentucky 44-7
19.  Wisconsin (1-0) blanked Tennessee Tech 42-0
20.  Texas (1-0) was upset by Boise State opponent BYU 40-21
21.  USC (1-0) lost to Washington State 10-7
22.  Northwestern (1-0) prevailed over Syracuse 48-27
23.  Michigan State (1-0) topped South Florida 21-6 
24.  Notre Dame (1-0) lost to #14 Michigan 41-30 
25.  Mississippi (1-0) beat Southeast Missouri State 31-13

Blue Football Through and Through Top 25

We base our Top 25 solely on results--who you beat and by how much (or on the flip side, who you lost to and by how much).  Stanford, ranked in many Top 25's, is not ranked this week.  Why?  Because they haven't played a game--the teams ranked have all won a game.  Stanford will have to prove themselves.
