Boise State was in BCS Bowl contention until noon today, when the Coaches Poll came out. The Broncos were battling Oklahoma, Northern Illinois, Clemson, UCLA, Nebraska, Michigan and Northwestern to get to #16, a spot claimed by NIU.
Let's take a look at the bowls that Boise State's poll mates in the #11-20 range have announced they will be playing in. This is what is most wrong with college football:
Nebraska--they'll play Georgia in the Capital One Bowl.
Michigan, the team right ahead of Boise State in the BCS Standings, will play South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.
UCLA, which lost twice in a week, will play Baylor in the Holiday Bowl.
Northwestern will play Mississippi State in the Gator Bowl.
Boise State, not offered any of the above bowls, has accepted a bid in what's left--the Las Vegas Bowl.
