No doubt David Moa read that Boise State had broken its own modern record for wins in a 15-year period, because shortly after that, Moa gave his word to Boise State that he would enroll at the school and play football for the Broncos.
Moa is a 6-4, 260-pound defensive lineman, an area that Boise State is very thin in. He has starred at Kearney High School in San Diego, and Coach Petersen and his staff has been extremely interested in Moa for several years.
Moa chose the Broncos over offers from BYU, Colorado, Montana and Portland State, and interest in USC, Oregon and California.
