With its 52-35 win over San Diego State, Boise State became one of just 7 schools since 1920 that have won nine or more games in at least 10 consecutive seasons.Yale also did it in the 19th century.
Nebraska put together an incredible streak of 33 straight years (1969-2001) of winning at least nine games. No one else is close. Florida State (1987-2000) sits in second, followed by the great Yale teams from 1886-1898. Texas ended a great streak of 12 seasons with 9 or more wins in 2009 when they finished 5-7. The Longhorns land in a tie for fourth place all-time with Florida (1990-2001).
Ohio State’s streak of six years in a row will end this season, as the Buckeyes are just 6-5 approaching their final game with Michigan. West Virginia could also see a halt to its streak of six years winning nine games or more. The Mountaineers are 7-3 and must win their final regular season game and their bowl game as well.
