Nate Potter Named to CBSSports.com All-America Team & Capital One Academic All-America Team

 – Boise State redshirt senior left tackle Nate Potter has been named CBSSports.com All-America First Team, in addition to earning Capital One Academic All-America First Team honors.

Potter is the first Boise State football player to earn first-team Academic All-America honors since Sam Miller in 1978.

A four-year starter with the Broncos, Potter graduated with a degree in history in May 2011, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree. He is a four-time all-conference selection, most recently earning All-Mountain West First Team honors, one of only two individuals in the league to earn the accolade unanimously.

Potter was also named Capital One Academic All-America Second Team following the 2010 season.

Potter is the leader of an offensive line that completed the regular season ranked tied for first-nationally in sacks allowed (0.67 per game).

He started all 12 games this year in helping the Broncos finish ranked seventh-nationally in scoring offense (43.25), ninth in total offense (483.08), 10th in passing offense (310.33) and 40th in rushing offense (172.75).

Potter has started each of Boise State’s last 33 games at left tackle dating back to his sophomore season.
