We're approaching two weeks before gametime and the race to start at quarterback for Boise State is still anything but decided.
Many preseason publications take it for granted that Joe Southwick will be the guy, but I can tell you that he hasn't been awarded the position by any stretch of the imagination. I still like Jimmy Laughrea for a lot of reasons, and true frosh Nick Patti is looking good as well. Southwick could end up earning the nod, but he doesn't have it yet.
In Coach Chris Petersen's press conference following the team's first scrimmage, he didn't sound pleased when talking about his quarterback situation.
