Dylan Sumner-Gardner, who was excited to play for Defensive Coordinator Marcel Yates at Texas A&M, has decided to follow Marcel to Boise State.
The four-star safety should give the struggling Bronco secondary immediate help this fall. In addition to A&M, Summer-Gardner, a 6-2, 197-pound hard-hitter from Mesquite, Texas was also offered by Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, LSU, Mississippi, Notre Dame, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Nebraska. Dylan was named to the high school All-America Team by Under Armour.
But he's coming to Boise State, and frankly, could turn the Broncos around in one year. He is the eighth-rated safety in America and is ranked in the Top 100 overall by every recruiting service in the country. He is a great tackler, in fact an enforcer across the middle, has great closing speed, and plays the run like a linebacker.
Yates is already making a difference, and welcome aboard the Bronco Express, Dylan!
