The latest I'm hearing on expansion to the Big East is that Boise State has raised some issues or concerns that are important for them to be able to make a move. All reports are that there are at least three Big East schools and perhaps more that are looking to get out. Boise State wants some assurance that they will stay and they also want their other issues addressed. Unless the Big East can satisfy those concerns, Boise State will tell them thanks but no thanks. If Boise State is not part of the Big East, the Mountain West will pass them in all three criteria that the BCS uses to evaluate whether a conference is deserving of AQ status.
