Quarterback Kellen Moore and linebacker Byron Hout have been named the Mountain West Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, the league office announced yesterday.
Moore completed 23-of-29 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns against the Falcons, while compiling an efficiency rating of 187.95. His touchdown passes covered 24, 19 and 2 yards, and moved him into fourth on the NCAA’s career passing touchdowns list (123). Moore also eclipsed 1,000 career completions, moved into 10th on the NCAA’s career passing yardage list (12,877) and tied Colt McCoy (Texas, 2006-09) for the most wins by a quarterback in NCAA history (45).
