Blue Through and Through has learned that tackle Travis Averill (6-6, 280) of two-time defending Pac-5 champion Anaheim Servite has committed to play football at Boise State. UCLA had made signing Averill a top priority.
Servite is one of the top high school football teams in the nation and it is important that with an Elite 11 quarterback, star running backs and great receivers that the Broncos continue their tradition of possessing one of the top offensive lines. Averill, a two-time All-State player already, should be a major contributor for Boise State. Averill was ranked as the #55 best player in Orange Country by the Orange County Register.
Averill chose Boise State over offers from UCLA, Washington, Arizona, Iowa State, Colorado and Washington State.
More details soon on yet another recruiting coup for Boise State.
