A big weekend of college football awaits us, as the top teams begin to separate themselves from the rest of the pack:



1.    Alabama does not play this week.
2.    Oregon ripped #22 Washington 52-21.
3.    LSU finally traveled, and they lost 14-6 to  #10 Florida.
4.    Georgia lost to #6 South Carolina 35-7.
5.    Florida State fell to North Carolina State 17-16.
6.    South Carolina whipped #4 Georgia 35-7.
7.    Notre Dame blew away a good Miami of Florida team 41-3.
8.    Kansas State smothered poor Kansas 56-16.
9.    West Virginia proved it's ready for the Big 12 with a 48-45 win over #11 Texas.
10.  Florida outclassed #3 LSU 14-6.
11.  Texas was outscored by #9 West Virginia 48-45.
12.  Oregon State downed Washington State 19-6.
13.  TCU was upset by unheralded Iowa State 37-21.
14.  USC got by Utah 38-28.
15.  Stanford held off Arizona 54-48.
16.  Oklahoma outpointed #20 Texas Tech 41-20.
17.  Clemson held back Georgia Tech 47-31.
18.  Louisville is idle.
19.  Mississippi State downed Kentucky 27-14.
20.  Texas Tech lost at home to #16 Oklahoma 41-20.
21.  Nebraska was tattooed by Ohio State 62-38
22.  Washington was no match for #2 Oregon 52-21.
23.  Rutgers defeated Connecticut 19-3.
24.  Boise State won at Southern Mississippi 40-14.
25.  Northwestern lost to Penn State 39-28.

BYU edged Utah State 6-3.
Air Force lost at home to Navy 28-21.
New Mexico rolled over Texas State 35-14.
UNLV was slaughtered by Louisiana Tech of the WAC 58-21.
Fresno State put away Colorado State 28-7.
Wyoming put a scare into Nevada before losing 35-28.
Hawai'i was creamed by San Diego State 52-14
