This Week in the BCS Top 25

#1 Alabama crushed Tennessee 44-13.

#2 Florida creamed #7 South Carolina 44-11.

#3 Oregon showed why they are ranked #2 in the Blue Through and Through Top 25*, downing Arizona 43-21.

#4 Kansas State is making a strong bid for #1, derailing #13 West Virginia 55-14.

#5 Notre Dame hung on to beat Bronco opponent BYU 17-14.

#6 LSU scored a five-point win (24-19) over Texas A&M , the team that barely beat Louisiana Tech.

#7 South Carolina was embarrassed by Florida 44-11.

#8 Oregon State downed Utah 21-7.

#9 Oklahoma rolled Kansas 52-7.

#10 USC whipped the team the Pac-12 chose to invite instead of Boise State, Colorado, 50-6.


#11 Georgia held on to beat Kentucky 29-24.


#12 Mississippi State broke open a close game and ran away from Middle Tennessee State 45-3.

#13 West Virginia proved to be no match for #3 Kansas State, losing 55-14.


#14 Florida State defeated Miami of Florida 33-20.

#15 Rutgers blitzed Temple on the road 35-10.


#16 Louisville survived a big scare from South Florida to win 27-25.

#17 Texas Tech topped TCU 56-53 in 3 overtimes.

#18 Texas A&M fell 24-19 to LSU.

#19 Clemson took it to Virginia Tech 38-17.

#20 Stanford crushed California 21-3.

#21 Cincinnati lost to Toledo 29-23.

#22 Boise State won its sixth straight game, topping UNLV 32-7.

#23 TCU scored 10 points in the final 2 minutes to tie Texas Tech but lost 56-53 in 3 overtimes.

#24 Iowa State will lose its spot, falling 31-10 to Oklahoma State.


#25 Texas outlasted Baylor 56-50.



Michigan State lost yet another game, this time to rival Michigan 12-10.

Southern Mississippi lost to Marshall 59-24.

Air Force defeated New Mexico 28-23.

Wyoming fell to Fresno State 42-14.

Nevada lost in overtime to San Diego State 39-38.
