This Week in the BCS Top 25, Week 9

#1   LSU does not play.
#2   Alabama is idle this week.
#3   Oklahoma State continued to play its starters late and blitzed 59-24.
#4   Boise State is idle.
#5   Clemson has had a tremendous season, but they lost their first game to Georgia Tech 31-17.
#6   Stanford had a major scare from USC before winning 56-48 in three overtimes.
#7   Oregon, after taking a 15-10 lead into halftime, came out and won a hard-fought 43-28 victory over Washington State.
#8   Kansas State was no match for #9 Oklahoma, losing 51-17.
#9   Oklahoma blasted #8 Kansas State 58-17.
#10 Arkansas survived over Vanderbilt 31-28.
#11 Michigan State fell to #14 Nebraska 24-3.
#12 Virginia Tech survived a scare from Duke 14-10.
#13 South Carolina won a slugfest with Tennessee 14-3.
#14 Nebraska surprised #11 Michigan State 24-3.
#15 Wisconsin lost to Ohio State 33-29.
#16 Texas A&M lost to Missouri 38-31 in overtime.
#17 Houston ran it up on Rice big-time 73-34.
#18 Michigan ripped Purdue 36-14.
#19 Penn State upended Illinois 10-7.
#20 Texas Tech was shocked by Iowa State 41-7.
#21 Arizona State made mincemeat of the team that the Pac-12 added instead o Boise State-- 48-14.
#22 Georgia came from behind to beat Florida 24-20.
#23 Auburn rocked Mississippi 41-23.
#24 Texas whipped Kansas 43-0.
#25 West Virginia came from behind to beat Rutgers 41-31.

Elsewhere:
TCU defeated BYU 38-28.
Air Force blanked New Mexico 42-0.
UNLV won a shootout with Colorado State 35-31.
San Diego State trails Wyoming 30-13 at the half.
Tulsa defeated SMU in a key game 38-7.
Nevada came back to beat New Mexico State 48-34.
