Boise State 6th All-Time with 16 Consecutive Eight-Win Seasons

With Boise State's 38-29 win over San Diego State, the Broncos are in rarified air, tying the amazing Michigan teams from 1968-1983, the Tennessee teams from 1989-2004 and the historic Pennsylvania teams of 1890-1905 with 15 consecutive seasons of eight or more wins.  That is sixth best in college football history (1869-2014).

No one ahead of Boise State has a current streak going, so as long as the Broncos continue to win games at a stunning consistency, the record is theirs for the taking--in football terms, they control their own destiny.  LSU and Oklahoma are the only other active streaks in this list, and could continue their streaks if they win eight games this season.
