Raymond Sheard Commits to Boise State

Boise State received big dividends when they reached into Texas and got running back Jay Ajayi from Plano, Texas, and today, the Broncos dipped into the Lone Star State for another back.

He is 6-1, 200-pound Raymond Sheard, who was one of several recruits on the sideline as the Broncos defeated rival San Diego State 38-29 in Boise last night, and after landing in Dallas, Sheard called Boise State to say he had committed.

The kid runs a 4.5 40 and has gained 2,972 yards in his career at Arlington High School.  He's going to remind you a bit of the aforementioned Ajayi--Sheard has averaged 6.7 yards a carry over three years and has gained 1,349 yards and scored 14 touchdowns on 201 carries so far his senior year.

Sheard chose the Broncos over offers from Oregon State, Colorado State, San Diego State and Texas State.
